Today

Today is yesterday’s tomorrow

Yet tomorrow never comes.

It’s the hamster wheel I find myself on.

The infinite roll of time warped into nothingness

Where light can’t escape to form tomorrow’s dreams

And yesterday’s hope floats unseen.

It’s a future tainted with the past

It’s a dawn that shatters into glass

It’s today, ever and anon.

  1. Love this line:
“Where light can’t escape to form tomorrow’s dreams
    And yesterday’s hope floats unseen.”
I like just the words themselves and the way they fit together and the cadence, but i also like pondering what they mean. beautiful.
