Self Imposed Indignation

Pain and hurt too many fears and frustrations

To forgive and forget self imposed indignations

Judgments, insecurities they replay and rewind

Sick twisted games still play with my mind

Down this road, love lost and none found

Self imposed indignation by them I’m still bound

To forgive and forget or just simply repent?

These punishing mind games, I’m still not exempt!

A soldier, survivor, not afraid, won’t back down

A warrior, a woman ready for another round

Heart still open, yet cautious, mind acutely aware

Self imposed indignations… forgiven… it’s

Only fair

  1. “To forgive and forget or just simply repent?” That’s exactly the dilemma whenever i’ve been hurt. Well said! You have great insight.
